Welcome to the False Teaching Action Blog! This Blog is an extension of the FTA ( False Teaching Action )   Whatsapp group that was started over a year ago (23rd May 2015) by the Grace & Truth Coalition to bring awareness specifically on a few emerging erroneous teachings that are infiltrating the Church in India namely :  Hypergrace, Immortality on Earth, Breatharianism  and related topics/issues such as  Legalism, LGBTQ, Inclusion Theology/Universalism  etc.  As on date, the FTA Whatsapp group has around 200 participants -Pastors, Ministry/Para Church/Mission leaders,Theologians etc from every major city in India. What is Hyper-Grace??? The term hyper-grace has been used to describe a new wave of teaching that emphasizes the grace of God to the exclusion of other vital teachings such as repentance and confession of sin. Hyper-grace teachers maintain that all sin, past, present and future has been forgiven, so there is no need for a believer to ever confess it. Hyper-grace teaching says that, when God looks at us, He sees only holy and righteous people. The conclusion of hyper-grace teaching is that we are not bound even by Jesus' teaching, even as we are not under the Law; that believers are not responsible for their sin; and that anyone who disagrees is a pharsaical legalist. The acronym LGBTQ - stands for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Queer (and questioning). Lesbian - An individual who identifies as a woman, who is predominantly (sexually and romantically) attracted to other women. Breatharianism is a dangerous false teaching that believers can live without eating any food (a fasted lifestyle) by partaking only of the Holy Communion everyday, drawing from sunlight and other energy vibrations.  Immortality on Earth is the false teaching that a believer in Christ does not have to physically die and has the potential to overcome physical death through faith, to live forever on the earth. Joseph Prince , one of the major proponents of Hyper Grace (a false doctrine, we have exposed on our blog) is scheduled to do a conference in Mumbai, later this year (2018).  A team of senior pastors from Prince's Singapore Church are doing an introductory breakfast meeting for pastors/leaders of Mumbai in the month of May.  It appears that similar meetings are likely to take place in other Indian cities as well. This is a concern since we have exposed Joseph Prince's erroneous teachings in this FTA group for over 3 years. As a first step, FTA intends to approach the event organizers , by submitting a letter highlighting our concerns about the teachings. We also plan to circulate this letter to Pastors in Mumbai. It is good to note that False Teaching is recognized as such and counter measures are being taken by younger leaders and newer churches.  This itself is a healthy sign.  However, it is essential to understand that there are fundamental principles that when ignored or violated, allows False Teaching to flourish and multiply.  I have put some fundamentals in an easy to way to understand, to build the immune system that withstands False Teaching onslaught. Anchor or Astray? Dr. Duke Jeyaraj gives the answers in the acronym   G-R-A-C-E The Hyper Grace Doctrine has sadly captured the imagination of today’s youth and broadcast widely by social media channels. Here are some of the core-teachings of Hyper-Grace teachers: 1) All our future sins are forgiven the moment we are saved; 2) Holy Spirit does not convict believers of sin; 3) Message of Judgement/warning is not relevant for believers; 4) Believers need not repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness when they fall into sin.
